How do I download and install the software?

To download the software, do the following:




  1. Get the driver from the download page. The link can be obtained per below payment (USD2.00)


  2. Click your operating system.

  3. In the Driver section, click the appropriate software driver.


  4. Follow the instructions on the page that appears to download and install the software.

Step one: Remove the packing material

Be sure to remove all of the tape and packing material from the outside and the inside of the printer.




  1. Remove the tape from the outside of the printer lid, and then open it.


  2. Pull the paper tray down.


  3. Remove the packing material from the inside of the printer, including the packing material from the print cartridge carriage.

Step two: Plug in the power cord




  1. Plug one end of the power cord that came with the printer into the back of the printer.



  2. Plug the other end into a grounded wall outlet.


  3. Press the Power button to turn the printer on.






Step three: Load plain paper




  1. Flip the paper tray extender over so that it is even with the rest of the paper tray.



  2. Press in on the tab on the top of the paper width guide, and then slide the paper width guide as far to the left as it will go.


  3. Take a small stack of plain white paper and lightly fan it to ensure that the paper is not sticking together.


  4. Insert the paper into the paper tray, and then slide the paper width guide snugly against the paper.


     





  5. Close the printer lid.





Step four: Insert the print cartridges



  1. Remove the print cartridge from its packaging and carefully remove the plastic tape.

    CAUTION: Do not touch the print cartridge ink nozzles or copper contacts. Touching these parts will result in clogs, ink failure, and bad electrical connections. Do not remove the copper strips. They are required electrical contacts.





  2. Open the printer lid and wait for the print cartridge carriage to move to the middle of the printer.


  3. When the print cartridge carriage is still, hold the tri-color print cartridge in front of the left slot, with the copper contacts facing down and toward the printer.



  4. Hold the print cartridge with the front of the cartridge pointed up slightly, and insert the print cartridge into the slot.


  5. Press firmly until the print cartridge snaps into place.


  6. Repeat steps 2 through 4 for the black print cartridge, inserting it into the slot on the right.










     NOTE: A black ink cartridge might not be included with your printer. It is not required to operate the printer.




  7. Close the printer lid.
