1. Turn off PC.
2. Open your PC casing
3. Check 2 cables that connect to the Floppy drive
a. Data cable connect to motherboard
b. Power cable connect to power supply
make sure the cables are connected properlly. if posssible remove them and clean up any dust and reconnect again
make sure you do the same for data cable on both ends (floppy drive and motherboard).
4.Turn on the PC again.. just focus on floppy LED as the PC boot in.. if there is any LED on.. the chance is your Floppy drive is good.
5.If this doesn't work. I suggest you get a "Known working Floopy drive" and plug it in.. Your old floppy might need a new one :)
